Methods

Inspired by my experiences at ABC POOL, I created an 'eye' icon to brand myself and create an identity as an active, visible contributor and for my work to be easily recognized on social media, Facebook and Vimeo.

POOLVIDEO, https://vimeo.com/groups/302782 an online group on VIMEO will be my online gallery to showcase my collaborative poetry film outcomes.
POOL, https://www.facebook.com/groups/poolgroup/ and other online social media groups specializing within my field of interest in poetry film collaboration will be my online community of practice through which my poetry film collaborators are sourced and new work is exhibited.
Poetry Film Live is a Facebook group and online journal of poetry film and interviews edited by Chaucer Cameron and Helen Dewbery. This group is for people to share posts, comments and videos. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1727444064214170/ This group is a source of reference for news on poetry film and to invite feedback on work.

Sound Space Explorers is a Facebook group aimed at those who have an interest in sound exploration, carried out both through musical experimentation, and through the soundtrack of environments, and events (films, radio, theatrical works, art exhibitions, choreography, and other). https://www.facebook.com/groups/561357060697951/
This group is a valuable resource when looking for artists working with sound. My collaborators are sourced from these virtual communities of practice.
Potential collaborative projects are invited, discussed, created and conducted entirely online via social media, email and messenger.
Digital files containing word, sound and image data from my fellow collaborators are exchanged online via Wetransfer, a cloud-based computer file transfer service.
I shall edit, manipulate and collate my own and the digital material I receive from my online collaborators in software programs, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition and Resolume Arena.
Stylistic and creative choices will be discussed between collaborators online via email and/or messenger.
I will create moving image streams from videos and photographic stills from personal image libraries together with the data files shared by my collaborators, including text, spoken word, sound files and field recordings.
This project will be created with original content created for the collaborative work.
My collaborators and I will share personal realities, ideas and expertise during our online virtual discussions.

The final work will be approved by all collaborators before being released to the virtual public audience. This is done by creating a password protected viewing file on Vimeo.

The completed poetry film work is shared back online to social media groups (Facebook) and online galleries (Vimeo) for viewing, discussion and sharing among the virtual community of practice.

Poetry films will be entered into international poetry film festivals for possible selection.

Technology will provide the mechanisms that enable virtual online collaboration by providing communication tools via email, internet access to social media, Messenger and file sharing via Wetransfer.

The community of practice will provide social, cultural, intellectual and personal support and feedback via online social media.

In order to discover if an online community of practice responds to the presence or absence of a visible and contributing administrator, I will observe community engagement, postings in periods of my 'visible' virtual participation and
non-participation.
